The permanent exposition of the museum-reserve which is being created should comment upon, supplement and enrich the museum-communicative environment of the Monrepo estate park complex.

The most important principle in the development of the exposition project is the correlation of the exposition environment with the richness of the historical and cultural heritage which is connected to the notions “Monrepo Manor”, “Monrepo Park” and “Rock Landscape Park”.

In terms of style, the main task was to delicately integrate the modern exposition equipment into the historical interior of the estate. The main unifying factor in solving this problem was the chosen color scheme. The walls, ceiling, skirting board and cornice are painted in a warm light gray shade, and a warm dark gray shade of the equipment softly complements it. This color scheme, as well as accent lighting with the help of lamps on the bus ducts allows you to present the exhibits in the most expressive way and create a unique atmosphere.

In the part of permanent exposition there are showcases designed for specific exhibits. For temporary exhibition halls there are mobile modular stands made of metal frame and MDF, which allows creating different combinations depending on the scenario and the volume of exhibits.

The main idea of the artistic design of the museum halls is to emphasize and focus the visitor’s attention on the exhibited items, pictures and photographs in the showcases and on the walls of the halls. For this purpose the walls and showcases are decided in calm and “neutral” tones and serve as a universal basis for temporary expositions and exhibitions against which a system of accents can easily be created.
